Customs Kiosk
On the radio this morning they talked about an Idiotic idea. The government has decided that if a person has not got a bad record that they (pre-approved) could potentially use a kiosk to enter into the United States. This sounds like the most asinine idea. They talk about national security and how important it is then they do something stupid like this. I was thinking about all the people that have had identity theft. It is quit the problem, yet now you can use a kiosk if you are a good enough person. So have they thought about identify theft, or how bout the fact that dead people have been able to vote. This doesn’t seem like this is something to worry about. I am sure that they have taken this into consideration, so what are they thinking. Anyway, Bat the idea around and let me know what you think!

So the idea is that, instead of having to speak with a customs officer, you just swipe your passport and walk right through?
It sounded like, if you were preapproved, that it was a matter of just going through a kiosk!
It is a test program to speed up customs. Background checks would be apart of the process.

Couldn't find too much on it as of yet! I think that it is a stupid Idea. It might speed things up, but at what cost.
I think that maybe I jumped the gun on this one, but I still am not sure that this is a good idea. It still doesn't seem like it is in the best interest for the country.
I think for the regular traveler who goes through customs once a week this is not a bad idea. I do think they would need some kind of photo identification thing happening with it so that the id you swipe matches your face. I know makeup and all that can fool anything but maybe this is where we need an iris scan.
