Praise Mom Day

I was listening to the radio this morning on my way to work and they were talking about families. More specific, a "Praise Mom" day. I really like the idea of making sure my mother has the chance to hear what she is doing right. Many times mothers get forgotten in the stream of life, especially when you are older and have a busy life like I do.

My mother is great! She has always been there for me. Answered all my questions when I wanted to know something, even when it was hard for her to give me the answer. If she didn't know something she wouldn't hesitate to admit it, or maybe she would even try to find the answer for me. She is a loving woman. She wants to be warm and nurturing to everyone. She is a Mom through and through. She Loves God, loves people, and loves her family. She is a monument and a hero. This is my mother.

My wife's mother is also a wonderful woman. Most people would give the stereo type of their mother in law, but that is not my mother-in-law. Although she does have her quarks, as my mother does, she would give her shirt off her back to help someone. Even when she hasn't been working she has done everything in her power to be helpful to others even in her own want. She is an inspiration to my wife and I. She is also loving, kind, and giving. She is a joy to be around. This is my mother-in-law.

I am truly blessed. God has granted me a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and a wonderful mother-in-law. What can make life more worthwhile then the family and friends that God places in our life? Thank God for each of those special people that God has placed in my life.
